Screw that damn new show - it doesn't even has a plot so far but its characters block my motivation to draw anything else besides them! B<

Had to do this, otherwise no chance I could try to finish something important. Oh well... I still like Astamon a lot, which is good, or I'd be annoyed by his waaaay too many ridiculous different base colors. (When other Digimon have one or two base colors for white/silver/grey body parts, Asta has six |>) I had surprisingly much fun shading this though.

So yes, this was supposed-to-be evolution pose for the previous picture with Ryouma, but pose didn't suit the perspective so it got an own piece. (Sketch just took too long to waste it.) Try to ignore what-ever-fails which I surely could never correct since I have zero-skills of perspectives and/or dynamic poses <D With other words: I can’t even see those. Whole picture looks just uncommon to me without clear positive or negative feeling*shrugs*
Haha, sorry for those who have a better eye for dynamic things – this surely looks hyper wrong xP
But hay – at least I have to try these kind of poses or I’ll just never learn to draw something dramatically just from imagination |’D

Asta is the first prince ever I actually like <__<” Princes usually just fail, but this one seems awesome.

Astamon is an awesome prince, I agree! Pardon the quick swear but: Damn! That is one awesome pose and I love that dark little smirk of his.

Yeah, agree, the series itself sucks. No plot, stupid new main character, stupid new main dragon (the design is a cheap mix of shoutmon and dorumon), stupid poké rip off concept (hunting? Srsl looks like catch'em all), tch. That dude you just drew here is the ONLY reason why I'm sticking my eyes in this unfortunately fail of anime

I hope he will kick the protagonists' asses someday.

I keep watching everything that belongs to Digimon just because I like that show xD
I started to think of Hunters rather of a cartoon alike thing than a plot-depending Anime. It makes it easier to enjoy the show as cartoons usually have an easy plot and use the pone-shot episode system too.

I'd still be glad if a plot come sup soon. The concept of Digi Quartz has some potential. Now they have to use it before time runs out :/

Yeah, the digi quartz is not a bad concept, but the use for the main characters is horrible!! Who the hell cares about Tagiru and Gumdramon? Geez, they suck! And Taiki? He is just second hand now. Astamon is so amazing but yet hardly talks and he does is just for his (only?) two attacks. I'm hoping to someday get some episode how Ryoma and the others met their partners.
Is funny to know from all the digis from main characters, Astamon is the only one who stays more time in that form instal as rookie.

I'm sure I did heavy mistakes here as I didn't took a single reference (besides Astamon himself of course) but sure, if you have time to do that feel free~
Seeing the mistakes might help not to do them a second time '_' (I doubt I can correct anything here without redrawing it though x>)

Yeah, you'll have to redraw the thing unless you can pull a miracle, because the anatomy's pretty subpar, you have the basic shape down, no problem.
[link] I tried to make it clear but I wasn't sure what angle you wanted the head so I assumed, head angles haven't been my thing either.

Well the mask is problematic because I'm not even sure if the eyes are Astamons or just the eyes of the dead beast.

To me it looks like he sees under the mask instead. i'm really not sure about his head at all xD
And I'm not even sure if the wings are a part of him or the outfit. [link] They seem to be attached to the middle of his back (through the coat) instead of his shoulders.
A clear reference would be nice for this monster x>

Anyways, thanks for the tutorials. I didn't know some of them and the head-references are really useful since I have problems drawing faces in different angles 8D
